A website designed to minimise data collection
I do not use analytics or marketing services of my own and do not create visitor profiles. Simply visiting the public pages does not set any first-party cookies. A simple contact form can be opened if needed. There are no public comments or visitor accounts. Consent to load the YouTube trailer is not stored permanently. Technical login cookies used for WordPress administration apply only to logged-in administrators.
Hosting and technical connection data
The website and email mailbox are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias (GE), Switzerland. When a page is accessed, technically necessary information is processed, including the IP address, time, requested address, status information and any browser and referrer information transmitted. Access and error logs support secure operation, troubleshooting and the prevention of abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure provision of this website.
Technical logs are retained in accordance with the host’s operational and security retention periods. Infomaniak currently states a retention period of at least seven days; this is not a promise that logs will be deleted within seven days. I do not use these logs to create my own visitor statistics relating to identifiable individuals. Contact by email or form
When you contact me by email or through the contact form, I process your email address and the contents of your enquiry to respond and continue the correspondence. Use of the form is voluntary; you can send an email directly instead. The form requires an email address and a message so that I can deal with your enquiry and reply. Merely opening the form does not send a message. Your entries are submitted only when you select “Send message”. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or screening enquiries, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of my legitimate interest in responding to your message.
The form is operated within this website using Fluent Forms. Submitted enquiries are stored in the WordPress database hosted by Infomaniak and forwarded by email to film@woolmansheep.com. The form entry also includes technical details such as the submission time, source page, browser type and device type. Additional IP address storage within the form entry and form analytics are disabled. This does not affect the host’s technical server logs. Spam protection runs locally; no external CAPTCHA service is loaded.
Retention depends on the handling of your enquiry, any resulting collaboration and any statutory retention or record-keeping obligations. When these purposes and obligations no longer apply, the relevant data must be deleted. Your data will not be used for newsletters or advertising without separate consent.
YouTube trailer — only with your consent
The trailer is blocked initially. The YouTube player is loaded in privacy-enhanced mode only when you select “Agree and load trailer”. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google then receives information including your IP address, device and browser information, and details of the video request. Google may use cookies and similar storage technologies. If you are signed in to Google, this information may be linked to your account.
The legal basis for loading the player and any associated access to your device is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). Consent applies only to the current page visit. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by selecting “Withdraw YouTube consent” below the video. The player will then be removed. You can delete browser data already stored by Google in your browser settings; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. The website remains usable without consent.
Google may also process data in the United States. Google relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where necessary, standard contractual clauses for the relevant transfers. Links to other websites
Opening a link to a cinema, festival, ticket provider or another external website takes you away from this website. Data processing there is governed by the respective provider’s privacy notice. No ticket orders or payments are processed on this website.
